Genealogy

Much of the genealogy data that I possess, came from my mother, Doris TSCHIRHART Schmid.   In the 1970s 1980s, 1990s, she did extensive work on her parents' Alsatian and French lines, and dad's parents' German and Dutch lines.   Extremely labor intense (pre-internet,) but truly a labor of love for her.   At the time, I did not fully appreciate her work, but I certainly have in recent years!   I will be adding my mother's research reports to this site eventually.

I wish to recognize, on this page, all who contributed history, genealogy, photos to our web site.

I need names of our Cousins who also did (and presently do) genealogy research for our Alsatian ancestors, and who  provided data, charts, etc.. for Reunions and the Web Site,.  please email me at toni.schmid@gmail.com      I would love put history, data, charts, photos, stories, etc on this web site for all to enjoy.    I will not be putting private data for living descendants.   Later on, I can password protect a few pages when the need arises.  but for now.  all will be public.

I also with to express HUGE THANK YOUs to our cousins who organized our past epic Tschirhart Family Reunions.

A Note from Toni

I created this site on April 7, 2024

Thank you to Clare Smith for helping me with transitioning files, images, narrative, from her fomer web site to this new one; and to everyone who can share information, stories, photos, history for this web site.  I hope to add many, many more over time.

Photos and Stories are welcome to make the site a wonderful resource for future generations.

I look forward to adding content shared with me by cousins, friends, and I appreciate your input.

Content will be of Non-Living Ancestors primarily, with the exception of recent reunion photos
