A Texas Wedding at l'église Sainte-Marguerite de Soppe-le-haut, France!
In 2025, the youngest son of the youngest son of the youngest son of the youngest son of the youngest son of Nicolas Tschirhart, and his fiancée traveled to France to be married at l'église Sainte-Marguerite de Soppe-le-haut. This 16th Century Church is where our Alsatian Ancestor, Nicolas, was baptized in 1814. The local paper in Colmar did a write-up on the wedding "An American Couple returns to France". They were all so gracious in making the Church available, and family members were given a personal tour of the original baptistry, which is now underground.
